Arrive in Paro by Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines, enjoying a scenic flight over the majestic Himalayas before landing in the emerald-green Paro Valley. The cool, fresh mountain air greets you — Bhutan’s first gift to visitors. After visa formalities, meet your guide and transfer for lunch in Paro. Visit the stunning Paro Rinpung Dzong (Fortress of the Heap of Jewels), built in 1646 and still serving as the district administrative and monastic center. Cross the beautiful Nemi Zam Bridge, then continue the one-hour drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. Overnight stay in Thimphu. (Lunch/Dinner)

After breakfast, explore Thimphu’s cultural treasures. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, built in honor of Bhutan’s third king, and the Institute of Traditional Medicine, where ancient healing methods are still practiced. Continue to the Folk Heritage Museum, which displays rural Bhutanese life, and the Textile Museum, showcasing traditional weaving. After lunch, drive toward Punakha via the Dochula Pass (3,050m), adorned with 108 chortens and offering spectacular Himalayan views on clear days. This morning, visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture located at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu Rivers. Once the winter capital, it remains an important spiritual and administrative center. Later, enjoy a short scenic hike to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, dedicated to Drukpa Kunley, the “Divine Madman.” After lunch in Lobeysa, drive back to Thimphu for an overnight stay. After breakfast, drive toward the Chele La Pass (3,899m), one of Bhutan’s highest motorable passes. From here, soak in breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Mount Jomolhari. Continue down to Haa Valley, a serene region only opened to outsiders in 2002. Visit the Wangchucklo Dzong, Lhakhang Nakpo (Black Temple), and Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple), both dating back to the 7th century. In the afternoon, drive to Paro for an overnight stay. After breakfast, drive to the base of Taktsang Monastery, one of the most iconic pilgrimage sites in Bhutan. Embark on a two-hour hike through pine forests and fluttering prayer flags to reach the viewpoint. The monastery dramatically clings to a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley, where Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated after flying here on a tigress’s back.
